FIELD: paper and pulp industry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a binder for cellulose-containing materials, a product made of composite material, a method for obtaining a binder and a method for binding cellulose-containing materials. This binder contains binding resin and a protein component. Binding resin is obtained by condensation of ammonium salt with hydroxyaldehyde. Hydroxyaldehyde is formed in situ from glycerol and hydrogen peroxide. This binder is obtained by mixing water, ammonium salt with glycerin, hydrogen peroxide and the protein component. The binding method includes applying the binder to cellulose-containing material and exposure to heat and pressure.

EFFECT: technical result is the production of the binder and composite material based on it, which do not contain formaldehyde, which can be used in wide variety of composite materials and, in particular, composite materials made of wood and paper.
