FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to the processing of workpieces made of technically pure titanium VT1-0, and can be used in the automotive and aerospace industries. The method for processing workpieces made of technically pure titanium VT1-0 includes exposure of the workpieces to a constant magnetic field, while the workpieces are exposed to a constant magnetic field with an induction of 0.3 to less than 0.5 T for 1-2 hours.
EFFECT: energy efficiency of the production of items made of technical titanium VT1-0 is improved by plastic deformation methods due to plasticization by means of magnetic field effects; microhardness is decreased.
