FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in successive cycled deformation of work-piece. There are produced work-pieces with side facets. Further, the work-piece is mechanically multi-pass treated at rolling mill. Each cycle includes positioning the work-piece in a cavity of the device formed with parts - upper vertical and lower - horizontal, deforming the work-piece and its extraction. For the next cycle there is performed reset by turning the work-piece at 90°. Material of the work-piece flows in two opposite directions along axis perpendicular to direction of imposed deformation force. On top of the horizontal part there are arranged two props of a wedge shape with angles at vortex 70-75°. The work piece is deformed by the said props angles of which at vortexes of wedges are rounded with radius 0.2 of diametre of circumference inscribed into a lower horizontal part of the cavity. Side ends of the lower horizontal part of the cavity are equipped with puncheons-insertions rounded along internal edges.
EFFECT: improved mechanical properties of work-piece material.
