SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electronic steam supply system and its components containing structures for dosing the aerosol-forming base material. The component for the steam supply system contains a tank 3 for storing the aerosol-forming material 13 of the base, bounded by a boundary wall 12 containing at least one movable section made movable to reduce the volume of the tank 3, an outlet channel 18 in the tank for releasing the aerosol-forming material 13 of the base from the tank 3. The exhaust check valve 20 is located on the outlet channel 18 and is designed to be opened for the issuance of an aerosol-forming base material 13. The dosing device 24 is designed to increase the pressure of the aerosol-forming base material in the outlet volume 18 of the tank, which is not limited by the movable section, to open the outlet valve 20 and issue a portion of the aerosol-forming base material, while the subsequent absence of the issued portion reduces the pressure, allowing the movable section of the boundary wall to move to reduce the storage volume 16. An electronic steam supply system, a storage tank for aerosol-forming base material, a component of the steam supply system and a component of the aerosol supply device are also disclosed.
