FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used to eliminate diplopia in paresis of the eye. Elastic Fresnel prisms (EPF) of the desired strength are selected for the patient, taking into account the doubled value of the angle of rotation of the head. Then the EPF, corresponding in strength, is installed binocularly on the spectacle lenses with the base facing in the direction of forced head rotation (FHR). Next, the EPF is shifted to the area of the glasses that corresponds to the direction of the eye, where uncompensated double vision takes place.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to improve the quality of life of patients, increase the accuracy of the selection of prismatic glasses and the effectiveness of eliminating diplopia and forced head rotation due to the combination of techniques of the claimed invention.
