FIELD: computer technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer technology and automation. The technical result is an increase in the reliability of the I/O device. It is achieved by introducing redundant I/O modules, microcomputers, control devices, main and backup secondary power sources into the I/O device; a multi-channel primary power switch, a multi-channel secondary power switch, additional sequential code and matrix command generation modules, input of an information exchange channel into the microcomputer operating in the "controller" mode, introduction of cross-links between the main and backup I/O modules, microcomputers and control devices, introduction of separate power supply for microcomputers, I/O modules and ADCs, introduction of the possibility of powering modules from both the main and backup secondary power supplies, as well as providing control of the voltage on the secondary power supply bus using the ADC.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the reliability of the I/O device.
