FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method for increasing contact pressure and the area of the contacting surface of the contact elements of a detachable electrical connection in proportion to the current passing through it, consisting in the fact that in a detachable electrical connection of lines, a contact plate of one line is inserted between two interconnected contact plates of another line, one of the two interconnected contact plates has an increased coefficient of linear expansion and a fixed position of its two opposite edges perpendicular to the connected lines, and when the current passes through the contacts, this plate is lengthened by heating in proportion to the current passing through it and by heating the contacts with the heat output power at their transient resistances in proportion to the current passing through the contacts, it bends towards the plate of one line introduced between two plates of another line, increasing the contact pressure and the area of the contact surface of the contact elements of the detachable electrical connection in proportion to the current passing through it.

EFFECT: increase in the contact pressure and the area of the contact surface, a decrease in the heat dissipation power.
