SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for transmitting an optical or infrared signal through free spaces and can be used to form high-speed FSO (Free Space Optical) communication links both in the atmosphere and in space. To realize the described result, a relay satellite of an optical communication link is proposed, consisting of two optical communication transceivers interconnected by an optical signal amplifier, wherein the optical transceivers are equipped with optical environment scanners, and to ensure operation of all units, the satellite is equipped with a power unit and a navigation unit.

EFFECT: increasing accuracy of mutual guidance of optical axes of transceivers of communication centres, based whereon a decision is made to correct the operation of scanning apparatuses.
