FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to global satellite information systems and can be used to provide a high-speed Internet access service in a global service area. Global data transmission system consists of orbital constellation of spacecrafts with several mirror retargeting antennae on middle circular orbit, regional stations for communication and interfacing with a global network of Internet and ground facilities of consumers, user terminals. Disclosed is an optimized design of an orbital constellation with uniform distribution of spacecrafts on four orbital planes, which provides continuous global coverage of the entire territory of the Earth with a minimum number of spacecraft in the orbital constellation.
EFFECT: development of a global satellite data transmission system for providing high-speed Internet access.
