FIELD: communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for transmitting an optical or infrared signal through free spaces and can be used to transmit large amounts of information between aerial vehicles using a high-speed optical communication link both in the atmosphere and in space. To realize the described result, an Earth surface monitoring satellite with optical communication is proposed, consisting of a body whereon an on-board computer connected with a navigation unit and controlling a power unit and an inertial propulsion system is installed, additionally, a remote Earth monitoring unit connected via the on-board computer with an optical communication transceiver connected with an optical environment scanner is also installed on the body.
EFFECT: increasing the amount of transmitted information.
