FIELD: building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of building, in particular, to an apparatus for reinforcing an existing structure. The apparatus for reinforcing the angle of an existing structure comprises two strips for enveloping both shelves of the angle from the corresponding outer sides, an additional strip located by the inner corner of the angle, a set of a mounting bolt and a nut for fastening the additional strip with one end of each of the strips and a set of a coupling bolt and a nut for fixing the other ends of the strips on the angle. The set of a mounting bolt and a nut and the set of a coupling bolt and a nut are located one at a time at one end and at the other end of each of the strips, respectively. The outer side of each of the strips has stiffening ribs on the upper or the lower part of each of the strips. The stiffening ribs of the strips are located on the sides in different vertical positions when attached to the angle.
EFFECT: increasing the strength of the existing structure.
