FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment, in particular to methods for determining the thermal conductivity, temperature diffusivity and heat capacity of materials, for example, rock samples. A method for determining the thermal conductivity and temperature diffusivity of materials is claimed, which uses a constant heating mode that allows samples to be examined in the form of cylinders with a length equal to or greater than the diameter of the sample. What is new is that the first reference body in contact with a flat heat source is a heat insulator and a constant heating mode is implemented in the system of bodies.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of determining the thermal properties of the studied samples that are inhomogeneous in structure.
