FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment, in particular to measurement of thermal properties of materials, for example, samples of rocks. According to the disclosed method for determining thermal properties of materials, the analyzed sample is brought into thermal contact with the first control sample in the form of a semi-infinite body, surface of analyzed sample is conjugated with first control sample and is subjected to thermal exposure. Surface of analyzed sample, opposite to first control sample, is brought into thermal contact with the second control sample in the form of a semi-infinite body, made from the same material as the first control sample, and temperature change of the second control sample is recorded. Correction is determined for the distance used between the surface of the second control sample in contact with the analyzed sample and the temperature recording point. Novelty is that the temperature sensor is placed in the second control sample near its end, conjugated with the analyzed sample at distance of 0.68 r0 from the axis of the contacting bodies, where r0 is the radius of the analyzed sample. Thermal action on the analyzed sample during the determination of its thermal properties is constant. Heat carrier coefficient is additionally determined from side surfaces of the first and second reference samples and the coefficient of heat conductivity is calculated λ2 and thermal diffusivity a2 analyzed sample.
EFFECT: high accuracy and simple technique of determining thermal properties of materials.
