FIELD: nuclear technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nuclear technologies for the removal (neutralization) of radioactive iodine and its isotopes from a nuclear reactor (NR) system equipped with a system for the catalytic utilization of radiolytic gas (SCR). 0.50-1.00 g of silver sulfate is placed in the fuel solution as a reagent for reacting with dissolved iodine to form hard-to-dissolve solid products in the fuel solution and collecting them in the bottom part of the NR. A silver-containing reagent is placed in the catalytic unit of the system for the catalytic utilization of radiolytic gas (SCR) of the NR for interaction with iodine from a gaseous stream supplied to the catalytic unit, at the entrance to which a segment is installed with ceramic granules placed inside, on the surface of which a layer of reduced silver is applied. To maintain a safe level of the ratio of the components of the hydrogen-oxygen gas mixture, its forced circulation is carried out from the above-fuel space of the NR to the SCR catalytic unit of the NR, followed by a return to the above-fuel space of the NR in a closed loop at a pressure of 0.7-1.2 atm and with joint cooling of the gas flow in the inter-wall space of the heat exchanger in the cooling system to a temperature of no more than 30°С.
EFFECT: invention provides a more stable and safe operation of a solution NR equipped with a SCR system.
