FIELD: thermal processing of solid fuels.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of thermal processing of various solid carbon-containing fuels. A furnace for thermal processing of lump fuel is proposed, which is a cylindrical vertical retort, in the central part of which the process of semi-coking occurs due to the coolant coming through the slotted holes in the retort: heated gas, gas for cooling is fed to the lower part of the retort, liquid and gaseous products of semi-coking are discharged through a nozzle in the upper part of the retort, while in the upper and lower parts of the retort there are screws with perforated and solid turns, on the surface of which there are blades, the screws rotate in the opposite direction of the movement of the feedstock in order to regulate the time of the product in the drying zone, mixing the product and cooling, removing the fine fraction through the discharge window.

EFFECT: reduction in the overall dimensions of the installation, a decrease in the amount of fine fraction in the carbon product, a decrease in the humidity of the carbon-containing product, an increase in the specific contact surface of the product with the coolant.
