SUBSTANCE: shaft furnace has discharge device with bowl provided with hydraulic gate and discharge cutter, annular drying inclined plate, box-shaped airduct mounted above drying plate along furnace perimeter and provided with baffle-type outlet. Usage of plate allows excessive moisture to be settled in lumpy product prior to discharging it, and product is dried to required moisture content by blowing hot air in box-shaped airduct. Such construction allows moisture content of product to be reduced by 15-20%.
