SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the installation of heavy units in the crowded conditions of the ship's premises. Proposed is a method for non-fitting installation of the unit inside the ship's premises on a pre-assembled foundation using shims, tight-fitting bolts with washers and nuts, and a polymer material, taking into account the amount of shrinkage of the latter. Before loading the unit on the foundation, markings are made relative to the bases of the room and through holes are made in a clean size for fastening the unit with fit for tight-fitting bolts. Then, in the places of through holes, by means of measurements, the required values of the thickness of the linings are determined for installing the unit on the foundation, ensuring the parallelism of the supporting surface of the unit to the main plane of the ship. Shims are made with previously defined thicknesses and through holes of increased diameter for free passage of tight-fitting bolts. The shims are set on the foundation with the alignment of the position of their supporting surfaces relative to the bases of the ship room. Marking is carried out on the shelves of the unit relative to its base planes. Through holes are made in pure size for tight-fitting bolts with a diameter increased by the calculated value of the maximum total marking error. The unit is loaded into the ship's room and placed on the foundation using shims. Reconciliation is carried out using the squeezing devices of the base planes of the unit relative to the bases of the ship's room and secured with tight-fitting bolts with washers and nuts. The gaps between the tight-fitting bolts and the walls of the through holes in the unit shelves and linings are filled with a polymer material.

EFFECT: possibility of non-fitting assembly of the unit in the cramped conditions of the ship premises, elimination of non-spillage of polymer material and improvement of the maintainability of the unit mounting structure.
