FIELD: water and air purification technology.
SUBSTANCE: air intake device for helicopter gas turbine engine, removing particles of sand and dust from air, at various modes of helicopter operation—hovering near ground, at modes of low speed of movement near the ground, as well as on flight conditions of helicopter in conditions of dusty air. Peculiar feature of proposed device is its absence of suction and dust concentrate removal system, as well as possibility of its use by modification of existing "fungus" type dustproof device (DPD).
EFFECT: as a result of using the proposed device, reducing the amount of dust coming to the GTE, increasing the service life of the helicopter GTE when operating in dusty conditions, as well as broader possibilities of using helicopter GTE in areas with high dustiness of airspace.
