FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular to velomobiles. The velomobile contains an aerodynamically streamlined body, the upper half of which is made of transparent material and which can be opened for entry and exit of the driver. There are three wheels under the body, the front of which is driving and swivel. Inside the body there is a driver's seat, a steering column with a steering wheel for controlling the direction of movement of the velomobile, a pedal foot drive connected by a chain transmission to the front wheel. The upper aerodynamically streamlined half of the body is formed by an arcuate frame that repeats the shape of the body in plan, and is freely covered by an elastic transparent material around the office. The wind-receiving device is made in the form of two vertical symmetrical rotary airfoil flaps. On the outer planes of the flaps, photocell panels are installed to convert light energy into electrical energy to power the battery. The wheel spokes are curved.
EFFECT: increased safety and comfort of operation of the velomobile.
