FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to high-voltage electrical equipment construction, it can be used in the development of high-voltage generator switches. The high-voltage hybrid generator switch is integrated into a shielded conductor; it contains a main current system with main contacts, a disconnector and a ground conductor, a control system with current sensors, as well as two conductors connected in parallel to the main current system. The first conductor contains a vacuum switch and a separator connected in series, and the second one contains a vacuum controlled spark gap with a start unit connected to the control system. The current sensors are installed in the main current system and in both conductors connected in parallel, and the outputs of the current sensors are connected to the input of the control system. The vacuum controlled spark gap is made in the form of a single, but not limited to it, assembly of counter-connected vacuum dischargers connected in parallel.
EFFECT: an increase in reliability of operation, an increase in electrical strength of the generator switch, an increase in the short-circuit cut-off current, and the achievement of the absence of repeated breakdowns.
