SYSTEM OF FIRE-FIGHTING VENTILATION OF CLOSED ROOMS WITH HYPOXIC AIR Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A62C2/00 B01D53/00

Abstract RU 2756263 C1

FIELD: fire-fighting equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-fighting equipment, namely to methods and devices for the prevention and exclusion of fire, fire containment with a limited supply of extinguishing agent in the form of a life-supporting hypoxic atmosphere controlled by signals from the danger zone. A system of fire-fighting ventilation of closed rooms with hypoxic air, containing a compressor supplying compressed air in the pressure range from 3 to 11 bar, a compressed air dehumidifier by freezing or absorption, a container for compressed air, fine filters and an adsorption column, a means for cleaning compressed air from contamination and a means for removing and cleaning condensate from oils, esters and impurities, air heating means, a gas separation device mounted on a frame on which at least one gas separation module is fixed, made with the possibility of separating compressed air according to the degree of oxygen saturation into permeate – an oxygen – rich composition of the atmosphere and retentate – a hypoxic composition depleted in oxygen, with the possibility of dividing it into a gas mixture, including: oxygen from 10% to 16% in quantities suitable for breathing with constant use as a fire-preventing atmosphere, or a gas mixture with an oxygen content of 9% to 12% for occasional use as a fire extinguishing agent. The gas separation module consists of a hollow body, with a block of hollow fiber membranes made of porous polymer fiber placed in it with a gas separation surface layer with the possibility of forming an inter-tube space by means of sealed epoxy collectors with adjacent void chambers. The gas separation module is designed to operate in three modes of separation of the input air. The gas separation device is equipped with throttling means in the form of a system of pressure control valves and settings for the oxygen content in the hypoxic fraction by means of a control panel connected to oxygen sensors installed in the protected rooms, while the system is equipped with a sensor and a temperature and humidity controller.

EFFECT: expansion of operational capabilities due to a greater choice of application options and the composition of the extinguishing mixture.
