FIELD: medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves compensating oxygen losses spent for breathing in sealed pressure object, supplying gas mixture from the sealed pressure object on inspiration, absorbing carbon dioxide from an exhaled gas flow with absorber available in absorbing respirator cartridge and supplying treated gas mixture to the sealed pressure object. Gas mixture delivery on breathing is carried out through buffer volume between the absorber and facial part of the respirator device, which makes up 0.2-0.6 from volume of a breath in rest state for reasons physiological nature. The absorber is produced as regenerative chemical product based on alkaline metal superoxide releasing oxygen when reacting with respiratory moisture and carbon dioxide. The respirator device has facial part, absorbing cartridge having carbon dioxide absorber, connected to each other directly or via hose, inhalation valve and exhalation valve. The exhalation valve is mounted on outlet from the absorbing cartridge of the sealed pressure object. The inhalation valve is connected to buffer volume between the absorber and the facial part of the respirator device. Free volume equal to 100-300 cm3 is available in the absorbing cartridge above the absorber level on the same side with the facial part or hose.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of gas treatment; simplicity and reliability of design.
