SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of chemistry, namely, to a method for non-destructive identification of the sexual characteristic of the Gallus gallus domesticus embryo in ovo and to a method for selective incubation of chicks of egg-laying species with a specific sexual characteristic. The method for non-destructive identification of the sexual characteristic of the Gallus gallus domesticus embryo in ovo includes: obtaining a sample of material associated with an egg containing the embryo - allantois fluid of the embryo, measuring the assessment value for the presence and concentration of at least the first biomarker - 3-[(2-aminoethyl)sulfanyl]butanoic acid in the sample indicating the sexual characteristic of the embryo, applying a threshold to the assessment and concentration value to identify the sexual characteristic for the embryo, wherein the concentration of the first biomarker of 50 ng/ml or more in allantois fluid of the embryo on days 7, 8 or 9 correlates with the female embryo, while the presence of the first biomarker present at less than 50 ng/ml correlates with the male embryo. The method for selective incubation of chicks of egg-laying species with a specific sexual characteristic includes: providing a set of eggs from species, exposing eggs to a method for determining the sexual characteristic of the embryo, selecting eggs with the desired sexual characteristic with the formation of a selected set of eggs and incubating selected eggs until one or more chicks hatch.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides the creation of a fast and sensitive method for non-destructive determination of the sexual characteristic of the Gallus gallus domesticus embryo in ovo.
