FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the synthesis of polymethylsiloxanes (methylsilicic acid hydrogels). A method for preparing a hydrogel of methylsilicic acid by reacting a solution of sodium methylsiliconate with a gaseous acidic agent, which is bubbled through a solution of sodium methylsiliconate, is proposed. The resulting product is floated in the throat of the reactor, then unloaded from the reactor, evacuated to remove residual gas and washed with water. Also proposed is a hydrogel obtained by this method.
EFFECT: proposed method is high-tech and economically profitable, and the hydrogels obtained by the claimed method have increased selectivity of adsorption properties and properties of supramolecular structures.
