FIELD: chemistry of organosilicon compounds. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of new chemical compounds - polymethylsiloxanes (methylsilicic gel hydrogels). Method involves production of methylsilicic acid hydrogels of the following composition: {(CH3SiO1,5)•nH2O}∞, where n = 44-49. Sorption capacity of these compounds is 3.3-4.6 mg/g by Congo red. Synthesis involves process of polycondensation of sodium (or potassium) methylsiliconate solution at concentration 1.75-2.30 mole/l by addition of strong acid solution up to hydrogel formation. After maturation for 30-90 min hydrogel is milled and activated with strong acid diluted solution at concentration 0.04-0.15 g-equiv. /l followed by washing out with water to neutral reaction. Product can be used as adsorbents in medicine for elimination of average molecular organic toxic metabolites from organism.
