FIELD: imaging technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to on-board multi-position technology and can be used to synthesize a complex image, according to multi-angle images taken by location devices, namely digital sensors with photo, video cameras, optical-location sensors, radar systems with a synthesized antenna aperture can be used in systems of complex digital image processing in computer vision systems. The expected result is achieved by the fact that the device for multi-angle multi-position synthesis of complex images of the earth’s surface, containing on-board equipment, which consists of a sequentially connected source of location information, an image registration block, a block for creating a complex image and a display, and the source of location information is made in the form of a television camera, a thermal imaging camera and a radar, the outputs of which are connected to the image registration block, and 1+N positions of on-board equipment are introduced, in each of which the block for creating a complex image is made in the form of a sequentially connected block for joining a series of images into one, blocks for clustering a docked image, a block for separating a clustered image, a block for selecting contours on each of the separated images, a block for requesting contour points, a block for selecting a functional reformat, blocks for applying a functional reformat to the original registered images, the block for evaluating the quality of the combined complex image and the block for making a decision on the acceptability of the quality of the combined complex image.

EFFECT: improvement in the quality of synthesis and an increase in the accuracy, as well as the information content of the final complex image.
