FIELD: smoking devices.
SUBSTANCE: proposed is a tubular heating element (1) for use in an apparatus for heating an aerosol-forming material for the purpose of vaporising no less than one component of the material. The tubular heating element (2) comprises a layer of a heated material (1b, 2b) applied to a tubular base (2a), capable of being heated on passage of a changing magnetic field through said material. The thickness of the wall (T) of the tubular heating element (1, 2) is not greater than 1 mm. The tubular heating element (2) can also comprise a protective layer (2c). The heated layer is made of a cobalt- or nickel-based ferromagnetic material.
EFFECT: heating elements according to various variants of implementation of the invention ensure an effective transfer of energy of a changing magnetic field to the heating element while maintaining the advantages of a relatively low cost, ease of producing the material, and simplicity of forming during the manufacturing process.
