SUBSTANCE: claimed is a group of inventions: an aerosol-providing apparatus and an aerosol-providing system. Aerosol-providing apparatus sets the longitudinal axis and comprises a first and a second coils. The first coil is configured to heat a first section of the heater configured to heat the aerosol-forming material to produce an aerosol. The second coil is configured to heat a second section of the heater. The first coil adjoins the second coil in the direction along the longitudinal axis, and the length of the first coil along the longitudinal axis is less than the length of the second coil along the longitudinal axis. The first coil is closer to the nearest end of the apparatus, whereto the aerosol is pulled during use along the flow path of the apparatus, than the second coil.

EFFECT: hot inhalation is reduced or eliminated.
