FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: storage tray contains a molded part made of polymer material that forms the upper support side, the lower wall and several sections of sidewalls. A cast part contains two inclined sides passing between the upper support side and the lower wall. The cast part is crossed by a side opening that forms an upward-pointing cutout framed by inclined sides. The side opening is adapted for closing with an attached wall mounted on inclined sides. The method for manufacturing a vehicle containing the storage tray includes stages at which: the presence of a support structure is ensured; the presence of a vertical attachable wall with a trapezoidal support side is ensured; the attachable wall is installed; the presence of the cast part forming the tray is ensured; the cast part is glued to the frame formed by the support structure and the attached wall.
EFFECT: reduction of the rear overhang of the vehicle is achieved by performing the storage tray.
