FIELD: computer technology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an off-board device and a method for reducing indications of a malfunction from a vehicle, a computer-readable media. The device contains a malfunction indication system and a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). The vehicle contains a system of vibration health monitoring (VHM) with an on-board malfunction indication system, linear replaceable units. To reduce the indication of a failure from the vehicle, control data is received, a state of a signal path is determined by means of a processing scheme based on current operating conditions and the conversion of operating conditions into a state indicator obtained from a computer model of a linear replaceable unit of the vehicle, the probability of reliability or unreliability of an indication of a malfunction is determined in a certain way, a quantitative reliability indicator is calculated, a threshold value is set by means of the processing scheme, the quantitative indicator is compared with the threshold value, an indication of a malfunction is generated and issued, if the indication of a malfunction is reliable, otherwise it is canceled. The computer-readable media contains instructions for implementing the method.

EFFECT: invention provides the possibility to reduce failures that lead to unnecessary extractions and increase in maintenance costs.
