FIELD: petroleum production.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to petroleum engineering products. The drill string disconnector includes a hollow body consisting of an upper and a lower parts connected by a cylindrical thread, and conical locking threads made in the upper and lower parts for connection with the drill pipes, an annular seal between the parts of the body, a metal ring installed on the cylindrical surface of the upper part and interacting with the ends thereof with the thrust ends of the upper and lower parts after screwing. The upper and lower parts of the body are interconnected by a helical thread with a pitch providing a lift angle of the helical line close to the angle of friction on the contacting support helicoid surfaces, and the triangular thread profile for the support surfaces thereof is made at an angle ω to the axial line of the thread. The metal ring is made of steel and is equipped with no less than two radial end stops arranged symmetrically along the circumference, interacting with the counterpart radial stops made at the end of the lower part of the body for transmitting torque to the drill pipes.

EFFECT: drilling of wellbores in complicated conditions and successful disconnection of drill pipes with a disconnecting drill string (DDS) in emergency situations.
