FIELD: rotors.
SUBSTANCE: described in the invention is a rotary system and a method for control thereof, as well as a gas turbine generator unit and a method for control thereof, wherein the rotary system includes a rotating shaft, the body whereof has an integrated structure and is located horizontally, and located in order on the shaft are a generator and a compressor; a thrust bearing and at least two radial bearings installed on the rotating shaft, the thrust and radial bearings are non-contact bearings; the thrust bearings are installed so that the centre of gravity of the rotary system is located between two radial bearings most distant from each other.
EFFECT: in the invention, by executing the body of the shaft of the rotary system in the form of a single structure, the problem of existing gas turbine generator sets consisting in limitedness of the site of installation of gas-magnetic thrust bearings due to the use of a shaft coupling clutch, is eliminated; the present invention also provides that by adjusting the position of the thrust bearing, the centre of gravity of the entire rotary system is located between two radial bearings most distant from each other, thus providing a possibility to maintain the structural stability of the entire rotary system during rotation at high speeds.
