SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and can be used in high-speed rotor-driven rotary machines. Managed gas-magnetic bearing unit contains a housing in which a sleeve bearing is installed, a shaft placed in the insert, an electromagnetic bearing containing more than one electromagnet, poles and yokes of electromagnets installed in a housing, windings of electromagnets located on the yokes, gap measurement sensors. Poles and the yoke of the electromagnets are installed transversely in the liner of the gas-dynamic sliding bearing and in the housing, in which the shaft speed measurement sensor and the gap measurement sensors are installed. Petals are mounted on the inner surface of the liner.

EFFECT: improvement of dynamic characteristics, increase of reliability and resource of the "rotor – support" system.
