SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for localising the residual reserves and is aimed at determining the degree of depletion of petroleum fields by identifying stagnant zones not covered by filtration processes. The method includes: determining the stock of wells located on one section of the field. Forming a set of initial geological, topographic, geophysical data characterising this section of the field. Based on the initial geological, topographic, geophysical data, forming a cellular geological and hydrodynamic model (GHDM). Forming an array of data on the indicators of operation of the well stock, including at least the flow rate of liquid and the water content of each well; based on the array of data on the indicators of operation of wells, building a water content analysis metric according to the dependence of the current water content on the flow rate of liquid for each well. Based on the analysis of the metric of the dependence of the current water content on the flow rate of liquid, identifying wells with the addition of a water-saturated reservoir. Conducting additional hydrodynamic and geophysical studies for wells with the addition of a water-saturated reservoir. Specifying the characteristics of the cells of the geological and hydrodynamic model; building a specified geological and hydrodynamic model. Identifying promising zones of concentration of the residual reserves in zones with non-productive production in the specified geological and hydrodynamic model.
EFFECT: improved technology for localisation of the residual petroleum reserves.
