SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. A method for preventing the drift of an agricultural implement containing a hinged beam having a right side and a left side relative to the central line of the hinged beam. On the right side, many right-side tools are functionally supported, and on the left side, many left-side tools are functionally supported. The right side contains at least one actuator with variable adjustable clamping force, applying a clamping force to a variety of tools on the right side. The left side contains at least one actuator with variable adjustable clamping force, applying a clamping force to a plurality of tools on the left side. The method includes steps in which the value of the total force of the right side is determined based on the measured clamping forces applied to a set of tools on the right side; the value of the total force of the left side is determined based on the measured clamping forces applied to a set of tools on the left side; the specified value of the total effort of the right side and the specified value of the total effort of the left side to determine the difference in total effort are compared; if the specified values of the total effort of the right side and the left side are not balanced, at least one of the total efforts of the right and left sides is adjusted to balance the value of the total effort on the right and the value of the total effort on the left.

EFFECT: direct movement of the agricultural implement in relation to the direction of forward movement is provided.
