FIELD: locking mechanisms.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a key for a lock, in particular to a reversible flat key for a cylinder lock. The key for the lock contains head, neck (4) having two opposite main surfaces and two opposite secondary side surfaces (7), lever (9) having first arm (10) for starting movement under the action of a sensor formed by a fixed pin, and second arm (11) for activating a reel element of the lock. Lever (9) is located in a hinged connection with key neck (4). Its oscillating axis is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of key neck (4). First lever arm (10) and second lever arm (11) are located on the same main surface of key neck (4). Lever (9) is located in groove (13) of the above-mentioned main surface, passing in the longitudinal direction along above-mentioned neck (4) up to end (14) of the neck opposite to the key head. Groove (13) has a smaller depth in the direction of the thickness of neck (4) than the thickness of neck (4), so that the lower wall of groove (13) is determined separating lever (9) from the main surface of neck (4) opposite to the surface, on which groove (13) is located, wherein, in the non-working position, lever (9) is located completely inside groove (13). A combination of a cylinder lock and a reversible flat key is also proposed.

EFFECT: extremely complex fraudulent reproduction of a key designed to work in a combination with cylinder locks is provided.
