FIELD: machine tool building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of machine tool building; it can be used to fix parts in the form of rod-shaped rotation bodies in centers of a processing machine. A device contains a center made with the possibility of installing in movable sleeves of a tailstock of the machine and having a conical working surface for interaction with a center hole of a workpiece, a cylindrical belt, channels for supplying and removing coolant, and a zone protection mechanism made in the form of a sleeve mounted by means of a rolling bearing on the center with the possibility of rotation relatively to it, a case mounted on the sleeve with the possibility of longitudinal movement along it and limited rotation, and a disconnecting mechanism made with the possibility of fixing and unfixing the position of the mentioned case relatively to the sleeve, while, on the end side of the case facing the workpiece to be installed, there are two pins spring-loaded relatively to the mentioned sleeve with the possibility of contact interaction with their ends with the end of the workpiece. The device is equipped with the second rolling bearing mounted on the center and two spacer sleeves mounted between bearings.

EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to expand technological capabilities of the device and improve the accuracy of processing.
