SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and can be used in the bearing industry for machining spherical ends of tapered rollers. Rollers are arranged between faces of stiff and soft plates fitted aligned to run around their axes. Basing of each roller is carried out on the outer surface by its contact with the prism of the hard disk, at the end of the roller - by contacting the fixed center of the hard disk with the center hole in its end and when the roller is forced through the contacting part of the soft disk.
EFFECT: as a result, the accuracy and quality of the surface layer of the spherical end of the tapered roller is increased.
