FIELD: rescue means.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for rescuing people in emergencies. An emergency location device contains a fixed part and a detachable part, wherein the fixed part has such dimensions and shape that it accommodates the detachable part, wherein the detachable part is floating in water and contains a signaling device, a power source, an element of ferromagnetic material. The specified element is placed near an electromagnet, when the detachable part is located in the fixed part. The signaling device is made with the possibility of transmitting a distress signal by means of radio waves.
EFFECT: increase in the probability of rescuing survivors of the crash is achieved.
