PUMPING SYSTEM AND METHOD Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A01K73/02 A01K79/00

Abstract RU 2759135 C2

FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of transportation of fluid substance by pumping and, in particular, to the transportation of objects suspended in liquid. A pumping system moves liquid or a mixture of liquid and one or several objects from a collector device immersed in water mass to a receiving installation located on a vessel on a surface or structure. The collector device is made with the possibility of towing by a surface vessel on the surface or by a structure by means of a towing device, or with the possibility of being immersed in water mass, or with the possibility of moving along the seabed under water mass, or being stationary on the seabed. The system contains a collector device, a receiving installation and a vessel on the surface or a structure and additionally contains the first delivery line, the second delivery line and a pumping unit. The first delivery line is made with the possibility of a fluid connection between the collector device and an inlet of the pumping unit. The second delivery line is made with the possibility of a fluid connection between an outlet of the pumping unit and the receiving installation. The pumping unit is made with the possibility to create suction in the first delivery line and positive pressure in the second delivery line. The pumping unit is made with the possibility of immersion in water mass to the first depth below the surface of water mass and is located between the collector device and the receiving installation. The collector device is located at the second depth below the surface. The pumping unit is made with the possibility of support by a vessel or other structure by means of a connection means. The specified pumping system is used as a vacuum pumping system in order to deliver the specified liquid or mixture to the specified receiving installation. The method for the operation of the pumping system consists in determining, evaluating or perceiving the pressure drop in the first delivery line and placing the pumping unit at a depth that provides pump inlet pressure that is sufficient to avoid cavitation in a pump in the pumping unit. The method for the operation of the pumping system consists in determining, evaluating or perceiving the pressure drop in the first delivery line and activating a corrected valve in order to adjust the inlet pressure to the pump in order to avoid cavitation in the pump in the pumping unit.

EFFECT: improvement of the device is achieved.
