SUBSTANCE: invention relates to earthmoving machines with earthmoving equipment. A crown assembly of a tool for earthworks includes: an adapter adapted for mounting to the edge of a base of earthmoving equipment, and a protruding adapter head. A crown of the tool for earthworks contains: the rear edge, the upper outer surface, the lower outer surface, the first and the second lateral outer surfaces extending forward from the rear edge of the crown of the tool for earthworks to the front edge, a cavity of the head in the crown of the tool for earthworks formed by converging upper and lower outer surfaces and the first and the second lateral outer surfaces and adapted for receiving the adapter head. The upper outer surface and the lower outer surface protrude forward from the rear edge of the crown of the tool for earthworks and converge with each other at the front edge of the crown of the tool for earthworks. The cavity of the head includes: the first and the second lateral inner surfaces opposite the first and the second lateral outer surfaces, respectively, an opening in at least one of the first and the second lateral inner surfaces, and a fixing chute on at least one of the first and the second lateral inner surfaces passing from the rear edge to the opening and capable of directing an adapter mounting element into the opening, when installing the crown of the tool for earthworks on the adapter. The fixing chute has a section without conicity and a section with conicity. The section with conicity passes from the rear edge to the section without conicity, and the section without conicity passes from the section with conicity to the opening and ends at this opening.
