SUBSTANCE: trigger mechanism of a hand-held firearm with a sliding bolt contains a stopper, a striker, a plate, and a rod. The rod is connected to the stopper by a hinge or flexible elastic connection. The stopper keeps the striker cocked. A method for modifying the trigger mechanism for hand-held firearms, in which the plate located in the frame and connected to the trigger is made with a bevel, with the ability of the rod to interact with the bevel. The bar is connected by a rod to the firing switch. In automatic mode, the rod contacts the bevel of the plate when the shutter rolls up and transfers the force to the stopper.
