FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: firearm comprises a body, a receiver movable relative to the body, a movable barrel arranged in the receiver and a bolt assembly. Bolt assembly is fixed in the receiver. Small arms are made with possibility to fire during oncoming movements of barrel and receiver. Proposed method comprises adjusting barrel and receiver weights so that gun fires occur during counter movement of barrel and receiver. Method of reworking firearms, wherein electromagnetic retarder of barrel or receiver or electromagnetic retarders of both barrel and receiver are installed.

EFFECT: reduced oscillation of weapon and provision of possibility to change rate of fire.
