FIELD: heat exchange.

SUBSTANCE: thermodynamic cycle device, comprising: (i) a first reservoir containing a first storage medium; (ii) a second container comprising a second storage medium; (iii) a heat pump having a cold side thermally connected to the first reservoir, for cooling the first storage medium, and a hot side thermally connected to the second reservoir, for heating the second storage medium; (iv) a first working fluid first thermodynamic circuit; (v) second working fluid second thermodynamic circuit; (vi) auxiliary means of heat supply, thermally connected to the first thermodynamic circuit, as a result of which auxiliary heating can contribute to creation of the first compressed steam; and (vii) an auxiliary heat removal means thermally connected to the second thermodynamic circuit, whereby the second working substance can release heat to the auxiliary heat absorber. First thermodynamic circuit is thermally independent from second thermodynamic circuit, and device can be used in loading mode, in storage mode and in unloading mode. In the loading mode, the heat pump is actuated to cool the first storage medium and to heat the second storage medium. In the storage mode, the cooled first storage medium is stored in the first reservoir, and the heated second storage medium is stored in the second reservoir. In the unloading mode the first compressed steam is expanded with the help of the first expander, and/or the second compressed steam is expanded with the help of the second expander.

EFFECT: device and method of thermodynamic cycle are proposed.
