FIELD: corrosion protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of protection of metals from corrosion, namely to protection of steel from hydrogen sulfide corrosion in hydrogen sulfide-containing media. A method includes adding N-[(2,4-dimethyl-6-(1'-methyl-2'-butenyl)phenylaminooxoethyl)]pyridinium chloride in a concentration of 25-200 mg/l to a hydrogen sulfide-containing medium.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of steel protection in hydrogen sulfide-containing media.
