FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to purification of electrolytes from chloride ions. Sulphate zinc solutions are purified from chloride ions by adding bismuth hydroxosulphate thereto at a molar ratio of bismuth to chlorine of 1.05 to 1.3, at a temperature of 18 to 40°C.
EFFECT: method provides a possibility of increasing the degree of purification of zinc solutions from chloride ions while simplifying the course of the process.
