SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of railway buffer devices, in particular to a hinged coupling, a conical ring with thread, a method for obtaining fastening of a cutting tool, as well as a method for converting energy using a hinged coupling. The coupling contains a rod and a pressure plate. The rod can transmit tension and/or compression. The plate contains a cutting tool. The tool contains a blade, a central recess of a conical shape and a conical ring with internal thread and a slit in the longitudinal direction. There is external thread on the rod. The conical ring is screwed onto the rod, wherein the conical surface of the ring comes into contact with the conical recess of the cutting tool. The rod is inserted into the pressure plate. In the case of the overload application, the plate is displaced on the rod. The conical ring with thread is expanded and shifted progressively on external thread.
EFFECT: it becomes possible to adjust the initial movement force of the cutting tool.
