METHOD FOR TREATING A CHRONIC FORM OF STUTTERING IN CHILDREN OVER 5 YEARS OLD Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61M21/00 A61H1/00

Abstract RU 2760196 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used to treat a chronic form of stuttering in children from 5 years and older. Each lesson begins with relaxing exercises: relaxation from pre-tension and stretching, supported by visual and mental images-oppositions. At the first stages, classes are held in conditions of speech deprivation. The child imitates the speech act with a long exhalation through relaxed lips, while using the technique of self-regulation of speech by its external synchronization with the movements of the fingers of the leading hand. The following stages include a set of classes aimed at mastering a new way of pronouncing vowels and consonants by the child. Vowel sounds are pronounced on a soft attack with a transition to a full-voiced, strong pronunciation and the possibility of relying on this sound. Consonant sounds are pronounced according to the principle of minimal muscle effort and are reinforced with visual and mental images-oppositions. Then the sounds are combined into syllables, syllables into words, words into speech segments before the change of speech deprivation by the speech restriction mode. In the following classes, the child speaks in short speech segments under the supervision of a trained adult. The child pronounces memorized speech segments to strangers and in conversation with parents in the presence of strangers. In the final classes, a new speech skill is fixed, linking the beginning of speech with a feeling of muscular and emotional relaxation before overcoming logophobia. During the passage of the entire cycle of classes on the development of speech skills, psychological support of the child and his family is carried out.

EFFECT: method provides acceleration of treatment of the chronic form of stuttering, consolidation of the effect.
