SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used to treat an acute form of stuttering in children aged 2 to 5 years. Treatment is carried out at home in the presence of the closest adult relatives without external irritating factors. Moreover, the treatment is carried out in three stages. At the first stage, one month, therapeutic speech is imposed on the child by means of uniform speaking by adults in separate syllables to the metronome. Throughout the first stage, adults receive psychological assistance. After the formation of speech in a child without spasmodic delays and convulsions, the second stage, treatment is carried out for 1-2 months by evenly speaking adults in separate syllables to the metronome. At the third stage, treatment is alternated with the uniform speaking of separate words by adults to the metronome and visiting crowded places by adults and the child. At the same time, between visiting crowded places, the psychologist conducts lessons with the child.

EFFECT: method provides acceleration of treatment of acute stuttering and consolidation of the resulting effect.
