FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Conjunctival incision 6 mm long 3 mm from the limbus is performed parallel to the latter. A superficial scleral flap of a square shape is cut out with a base at the limbus with a side of 5 mm by 1/3 of the scleral thickness, entering the surface layers of the cornea. A deep rectangular scleral flap is excised with a base of 3 mm and a height of 5 mm by 1/3 of the scleral thickness, 1 mm apart from the lateral walls of the superficial flap. This flap is excised together with the peripheral layers of the cornea and the outer wall of the Schlemm's canal, exposing the trabecular zone and Descemet's membrane until the intraocular fluid seeps out. In the part of the scleral bed facing the equator, a portion of the sclera is excised until the ciliary body is exposed. At the border of the formed scleral bed facing the equator, a rectangular sclera section with a base of 3 mm and a height of 1 mm is excised by 2/3 of the sclera thickness. The superficial scleral flap is placed in place and fixed with two single sutures in the corners of its free edge. The conjunctiva is sutured with a mattress suture.

EFFECT: method provides a prolonged hypotensive effect in the postoperative period due to the formation of a direct flow of fluid from the intrascleral bed into the subconjunctival space without the formation of scleroscleral and scleroconjunctival adhesions.
